International Interprotect is a high performance two pack primer/undercoat. It’s perfectly formulated for polyester, vinylester, epoxy, steel, aluminium, ferro cement and timber hulls, above and below the waterline. It is our recommended high build epoxy paint for use with CPES and Fill-It when repairing osmosis blistering (the pox) on polyester glass hulls.

The product is supplied with 3.75 litres of base in a 5 litre can. The curing agent (1.25 litres) is added to the can which is then stirred and left for 10 minutes to allow bubbles to disperse.
This is not carried as a stock item by us, and is purchased to order. Dispatch is normally in less than a week after ordering.

Interprotect may be applied by brush or roller. 1 to 5 coats are recommended and practical coverage is 8 m²/L per coat.

Curing
Will not cure below 5°C. Product temperature should be minimum 10°C/50°F and maximum 35°C/95°F. Ambient
temperature should be minimum 10°C/50°F and maximum 35°C/95°F. Substrate temperature should be minimum 10°C/50°F
and maximum 35°C/95°F.
Method
Remove blast/grinding/sanding residues with a clean air line & sweep with a clean brush, or vacuum clean for best
results. On blasted and rough ground surfaces do not try and wipe with rags and thinners as the rags will catch and
leave particles of cloth behind. Apply required number of coats, detailed in the specification sheets, by method chosen or
stipulated, allowing required overcoating interval between applications. Thin first coat applications International Epoxy Thinners #7.

Antifoulings may be applied directly after suitable preparation. Must be overcoated with Perfection Undercoat or YRA600
Undercoat prior to applying two pack polyurethane top coats. It should not be used over any one pack products.
